The weather in Playa Grande is ideal year round. The temperatures average 70-75 at night and 90-95 during the day. The rainy season begins mid-May and goes until mid-November. Playa Grande is located in the Guanacaste area of Costa Rica which is very dry compared to the rest of the country. During the rainy season, the days are generally dry with afternoon showers. During October, there is a greater chance of rain all day.
