Driving directions
from Liberia are as follows:
Leave the airport and at the main road turn right. Or if you are leaving
the car rental place, head away from Liberia toward Santa Cruz. Probably
about 30 minutes down the road in Belen you will turn right where you
see signs for Tamarindo, Conchal, Playa Grande. Follow this road into
Huacas where the road divides...left to Tamarindo and right to Playa
Grande.
Go to the right into Matapalo. Just after the plaza in Matapalo you
take a left to Playa Grande. It is well marked. In
about 10 minutes you come into a settlement and will see Kike’s
Place.
You will go to the left after that (start following the signs toward
Hotel Bula Bula). Go down the hill and left at the next junction.
This road parallels the ocean and goes straight into an area called
Palm
Beach. You will come to a guard shack at the entrance to Palm
Beach. Go straight and our house is before the turn to Bula
Bula on the right side of the road in a group of six identical houses.
It is the first one on the right in that group.
Driving directions from San Jose are as follows:
From San Jose leave the airport and follow the signs in the direction
of San Ramon. You will be traveling the Pan American Hwy north
bound.You will drive about 2 hours or more and see the signs for
Nicoya, Puente
la Amistad, and Santa Cruz. You will go left and over the bridge.
At this point you are 2 hours from Playa Grande. When the road ends,
turn
right and go past Nicoya and Santa Cruz. Go into Belen where you
will turn left where you see signs for Tamarindo, Conchal, Playa
Grande. Follow
the Liberia directions from that point on.
